Also referred to as Viking Chess Kubb is a lawn game where players from one team try to knock over all their opponents blocks known as kubbs with wooden batons The team that knocks down all their opponents kubbs first plus the so called king kubb in the middle of the playing field wins Kubb game in the yard 1 To speed up the game the field length can be shortened to 6m 2 When field kubbs are thrown they can be raised on top of each other For example if a team has three field kubbs to throw and the second kubb touches the first on landing it is permissible to place it on top of the other
